Warm and Fluffy

[2007-12-12]

Is there really anything better than warm blankets straight from the dryer, all warm and fluffy? Of course there is: a cat, straight from the dryer, all warm and fluffy — assuming it's been properly sedated. Because really, there's nothing worse than a cat that hasn't been sedated and has spent the last hour tumbling around the hot, dry interior of your Maytag front-loader. And don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about; we've all been there.

So the new design seems to be doing pretty well. I haven't heard any complaints, but that's probably because no one talks to me. I'll assume that means everyone loves the site.

I've been drinking tea lately. I'm not exactly a fan of the taste, but rather, I like the process of making tea. I like the gurgle of water gently boiling, the sound of filling the cup, the aroma of the steam rising from the freshly stooping bag, the blood-curdling screams as I realize I should have let the water cool more before chugging my first drink. It's a wonderful thing, even if it is kind of gross and leaves me unable to taste anything for 36 hours (which is a blessing when I cook).

Right now I'm drinking Cozy Chamomile, which I am going to file in the never try again category. I don't want tea that tastes like dirt. I want tea that tastes like Gatorade. I want tea with electrolytes!

Finally, I've been knitting. Just meditate on that for a while.
